Paddy & Bill On Music

What albums do you listen to most often?

Paddy:  Too many to mention......mostly older stuff though.

Bill:  Cold - Year Of The Spider; Cult - Beyond Good & Evil

What was the first record you ever bought?

Paddy:  U2-3

Bill:  Saturday Night - Bay City Rollers

What genre of music do you like the most? Why?

Paddy:  Rock music speaks to me most of all but anything from the heart is cool to me no matter what the genre.

Bill:

What genre of music do you hate the most? Why?

Paddy:  "Hate" is a little strong. Most of the stuff on the music charts is not very appealing to me. Much of the rap and r&b out there is just the same old regurgitated crap. We need something new.

Bill:

Who is the best singer at the moment? Of all time?

Paddy:  I don't believe in "best" but people like Celine Dion and Josh Groban are hard to beat. There's too many to mention when it comes to "all time"......Jager, Bono, Lennon, Tyler, Plant, Vedder.....too many...

Bill:

Who is the sexiest singer in your opinion?

Paddy:  It's hard to beat Britney Spears or that Shakira girl.

Bill:

Who is the grossest music artist?

Paddy:  It's OK to be gross as long as it's meant in good fun. I don't know the answer to this. We're pretty gross .....sometimes....... Some of the rap out there is gross, most of it is actually.

Bill:

What is your favorite band?

Paddy:  It's always been U2 for me.

Bill:

What do you think of Rap? R&B?

Paddy:  Rap in it's purest form is fresh and ingenious. Unfortunately Rap as well as R&B has taken over mainstream music. It's a little boring at this point. Almost like country. The same looking people with the same shit on, singng about the same shit.....with fists full of dollars, nice cars, women, big jewelery....basically I don't like Rap but some of it is brilliant.

Bill:

What do you think of Punk?

Paddy:  Punk has been hugely important to music as I'm sure Rap will eventually prove to be too. Punk gave us The Clash but it also gave us U2. I was too young to appreciate it but I would have enjoyed being of age in the late 70's.

Bill:

What is your favorite type of music?

Paddy:  Anything that truely comes from inside.

Bill:

What is your favorite CD/record of all time?

Paddy:  That's impossible to answer.

Bill:

Who is the best guitar player in the world?

Paddy:  David Evans AKA The Edge

Bill:

Who is the best violinist in the world?

Paddy:  The one and only Bill Ayerbe

Bill:

Who is the best looking music artist?

Paddy:  Me of course...... It's hard to beat Britney.

Bill:

Who is the best rock group at the moment?

Paddy:  There's no real answer to that. I like Jet. Aerosmith is sounding as good as ever. I have no idea really.

Bill:

Who has the best CD at the moment?

Paddy:  I don't listen to enough current music to answer any of these questions. If I was forced to answer this I would say Toby Keith. His current record is brilliant......and I don't even like country music too much.

Bill:

Who is the most talented? Coolest?

Paddy:  They don't come much cooler or more talented than Prince.

Bill:

If you could meet any artist, who would it be and why?

Paddy:  Elvis Presley. He was The King man.

Bill:

Who is the most talented songwriter today?

Paddy:  Way too many to mention. They are everywhere. I like Ryan Adams. I hope more songwriters get a look in soon.

Bill:

Who is the hottest new artist?

Paddy:  JET
