Hello boys and girls,
I thought I would sent out a quick note to say hello. I decided to do it BEFORE tonight's show so it comes across clear, concise and uninfluenced by Guinness. Everything is going fairly well. The belly has been growing steadily due to a lack of time to exercise but, I can still see the wee lad when I look down so there's no need to panic just yet.
Myself and Bill have been playing every Tues, Thurs and Fri at the pub. We play the first Sat of every month too. The third Saturday of every month we play in Raleigh at Tir na nOg (so we'll be up there tomorrow night.....Dec 15th). DL Token will be playing at our place in Fayetteville..........

Hello boys and girls,
Well, it's been a while since I've written one of these things. Life in the bar business keeps me just a wee bit busy. My beer belly has been growing steadily due to the lack of real exercise coupled with the amount of right arm curls I have to perform each night. Nevertheless, I can still see my little pal when I look down so there's no real need for panic just yet.
Things have been going very well with the Pub. No one has been killed yet although, we do have the occasional wanker who can't seem to puke into the toilet or make it outside so they decide to nip into the storage room or puke in the sink. Then there's girls and their tampons.......need I say more? I play guitar with rubber gloves because you never know when I might have to run offstage and unclog a tiolet. By the way, girls are way smellier than boys. I would never have guessed that before this Pub opened up. Stinky! The better looking they are, the stinkier they are too!
Anyway, enough about stinky stuff. I have nothing much to tell you guys because Laura has done such a wonderful job with our web sites. She is our right arm and our success can be attributed in no small way to this lovely lady. Myself and Bill play every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at the Pub......we also play the first Saturday of every month which puts us there this Saturday, Oct 6th. Next Saturday Lee Tyler Post from San Diego and DL Token will share the stage. We'll be in the audience for that one. Wednesday night is our Songwriters Guild night. It's growing steadily. Whether you play or sing or write or whatever, come along and get involved. It's a chance to get some feedback in a kind and useful way. Play through a pro PA system and learn some things from some of the best songwriters in the area. This is NOT a pissing contest nor a blues jam. Everyone and anyone who writes or would like to learn how to write music is welcome. DL Token's Jeremy Strothers runs the proceedings. He does a wonderful job and we're lucky to have him. Come get involved. It's laid back and it's free.

Hello boys and girls,
I haven't contacted you all in several moons.......... Actually, I spent a brief time in the porn business but, I couldn't keep it up.......pun intended. Just kidding. I am of course, an unwavering Catholic. I attend Mass on a regular basis to atone for my many sins. It's a wonderful religion. You get a clean slate every week......no matter what you've done the week before!
This consumption of alcohol job we have, occasionally accompanied by musical performance, is a contentious thing indeed. Trying to run a bar, not piss 'sensitive' people off and remain a virgin has often tried my patience. I remain undaunted however. God, aka Arthur Guinness, is a friend of mine. "He's drunk!" I hear you say. Well, I may be drunk but, you're ugly. And in the morning I will be sober but you'll still be ugly.......I think I've heard that somewhere before.
I feel like Will Farrell in the debate in Old School......What just happened? Ok. Enough of the shite.........
Myself and Bill are playing our last show in Wilmington this Saturday for quite a while. Obligations at the pub are keeping us in Fayetteville for the rest of this year with the monthly exception of Tir na nOg in Raleigh. I hope those of you in the Wilmington area can come say hello. It will be a while before we get down your way again.
The regular shows remain every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at Paddy's in Fayetteville. We also play there on the first Saturday of every month......Laura has been perfecting her Chicken wings every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday while maintaining our impeccable web sites (www.paddygibney.com and www.paddygibneypub.com). Is there a happier wanker on the face of this earth? Probably not. Well, Hugh Hefner seems pretty happy.

Hello mes amies…………It’s late on a Tuesday night/Wednesday morning……..aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh, what makes two people love each other? It’s an interesting question in my life right now……..I have a couple of testicles so what does a male say and how does he say it and still stay remotely recognizable by the enemy, I mean the enema, I mean the enchiladas out there? I really believe that there is some great plan which explains the unexplanable. I have a pain in my arse with the other half right now but somehow I believe her pain is more intense than mine……….
The shower has just cut off…………I better finish off while I’m feeling brave……..
I am often called a songwriter even though I have written very little in recent years. Wednesday night’s at my pub is now ’songwriters night’. Listening to Jeremy Strothers last Wednesday as he sang and explained his tunes was mesmerizing. Davis Stone was even more mesmerizing as he sang his song about the multiple personality girl next door named Daisy with the nice body who everybody called crazy/// I believe it goes “I’m not fucking crazy but I would”. He’s Fayetteville’s answer to Oscar Wilde and you wankers stay at home!!!!!!!………..don’t ask me for a ticket and a backstage pass when he’s the MAN/…….Get out there and give a shit………..the least you can say is you tried to find some shit and you found some shit. ………I’m sure I am cumming across like a Jamaican tobacco sailsman but, it’s time for bed. God Bless the wankers who refuse to believe in anything. If betting on God was free they would surely bet against Him. We’ve all ran into those dildos along the way…..they can’t even separate faith from logic……….although is it possible to be logical without faith? Ask Ron Jeremy.

Hello boys and girls.........
July 4th is a great American holiday. I hope you are all enjoying it. It’s as hot as 400 hells here in North Carolina……. As I write this Jennifer Licko is belting out some tunes down at the Pub. Myself and Bill will be playing the rest of the weekend including Saturday night. Also, we decided to resurrect the Cape Fear Song Writers Guild. Jeremy Strothers from DL Token will be hosting. It will be held every Wednesday night from July 11th forward. It is a great chance for songwriters grow and learn more about the craft. Hello boys and girls……..
I got home at 7am this morning….sweaty, smelly, dirty, stinky, nasty, disgusting, and reeking…..all the qualities I look for in a woman. Anyway, you gotta love the bar business! I’m hanging in there though. The women’s bathroom is coming along so well that some folks have taken to making babies in there. Not a practice I condone but, I privately get a kick out of it. The hand lotion, expensive soap and three-ply toilet paper seem to be bringing out the wild side of some of the girls. I certainly expect the first child conceived in my pub to be named after me (Patricia if it’s a girl). I already have a dog named after me (pictures on website). How appropriate I hear some of you say……well, pog mo thoin.
Bill and myself don’t normally play at my pub on Saturday’s but we’re doing so tonight. We’ll probably play at least one Saturday per month. Danny Nieves and Ethan Hanson will make up the other Saturdays with more acts to follow in the coming months. Speaking of more acts, we have a special night coming up this Wednesday. Every Wednesday we will be providing food free of charge starting at 7pm. The dartboards I ordered from Dublin will be in this month and I expect Wednesday’s to revolve around darts however, we will have different things going on from time to time. We’re calling our Wednesday’s Appreciation Night…….hence the free food. Anyway, to kick this off this Wednesday we have the wonderful Jennifer Licko performing for us (www.jenniferlicko.com). She’s traveling down from Greenville. Her show starts at 8pm, early enough for almost everyone. Check out her website. She performs a variety of Scottish and Irish tunes. Jennifer is a multi-instrumentalist who has lived in Ireland and studied our culture and music. It should be an enjoyable night.
Today is June 9th and it’s Laura Harper’s birthday. She is a real angel to Bill and me. She is our friend and a friend to many of you reading this. Send her some love. Not many people get to celebrate their 21st birthday as often as Laura has….he he…..she almost flashed us at the show last night! By the way, check out PRIMELIFE Magazine (for those of you in Fayetteville). Laura is the front page story. It’s a wonderful article about all the work she does for musicians throughout Fayetteville……..God Bless You. We love you darling.

Thanks for the lovely turn out in Charleston this past weekend. It's our last visit down there for a good while. We met a bunch of female Russian doctors on Friday night. I haven't been that scared in a long time! They were lovely though and they drank their arse's off! Hello there,
It's a lovely Wednesday evening in North Carolina. I got to work on the back side of the Guinness belly a little today which is unusual for me lately.... (working out that is). Working (with pint) in (hand) has been the rule of law as of late. Anyway, great turn out in Raleigh on Saturday night. We'll be in Wilmington this Saturday at Hell's Kitchen. The gigs at the new Pub are going remarkably well desipte the fact that the same two wankers are playing the same songs three times a week. Ethan's gigs continue to grow on Saturday nights. I would like to share a rather special moment with you from Tuesday's show at Paddy's. A young man sitting at the bar towards the end of the night was deep in conversation with his rather heavy set friend when all of a sudden he starting puking. Right there on the bar! His friend saw me moving towards them so he decided to grab an ashtray for his pal to empty himself into. The ashtray filled up fairly quickly so the lad called for an empty pitcher. I couldn't believe it. Our trusty security man Shane 'helped' the lad out the door before I had a chance to stick my toe up his arse. The sick lad's helpful friend turned to me and said, " We just broke up so he's a little drunk." I felt like a deer in the headlights, like a man in the city by the bay, like the bikers in the bar in the movie A Bronx Tale when Sonny locked them in the bar.....maybe you had to be there. It was a special moment.
Hey, it's Thursday night. Martini night at our place starting at 6pm. We'll have a nice spread of food laid on. Bill and myself will be playing later on........that's about it mes amies. God Bless, take care, see you along the road.

Bonjour mes amies..........
It's a lovely morning.....1 pm....early for me. I've been crawling home at 5 AM every morning recently. I'm getting the hang of the bar business though........... It's all about buying alcohol and then selling it. Sounds complicated but it's simple enough. Keep the girls bathroom clean. Keep the seat in the men's bathroom wiped off in case the girls decide to take that over too. Soft toilet rolls, inspirational messages on the walls, panty disposal, hand lotion (multipurpose), confessional booth, silly songs, a patient and sympathetic ear for all the wankers who say to you, "If this was my bar I'd......." And so on. I will compose a manual for prospective bar owners one of these days. It will be entitled "The Women's Bathroom." Anyway, enough silliness for now........

Thursdays at 6pm is when our Martini night begins. I'll be playing a few tunes while Martinis and the like are being guzzled (by the girls mostly).....sounds posh and sophisticated but don't be fooled, it's an Irish Pub afterall. The girls arrive in business suits for "just one martini" and leave at 2 AM in nothing but one of our Pub shirts. It's a wonderful thing to watch unfold. We lay on some food for the brethren so drop by if you feel you can talk like you have a hot potato in your mouth.
Even though Bill and I are on the road most Saturdays, Ethan Hanson plays every Saturday night at my place here in Fayetteville. As Paddy's has become more popular, more and more people are getting to see just how good this young musician is. Catch him while you can. The new pub has been going very well but kicking my arse nonetheless. Check out the progress at www.paddygibneypub.com Myself and Bill have been playing there every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. We still travel out of town on Saturdays......this weekend we'll be back at Tommy Condon's in Charleston, SC. (We play both Friday and Saturday night). Always a good laugh down there. Danny Nieves will be stepping in for us at my place this Friday while we're on the road. Ethan Hanson plays on Saturday night .......anyway, like my brain, this email is all over the place.....
I hope this finds you lads and lassies doing well. Thanks for being on the list and reading silly emails from me about pubs and various shite.
I'm off now to clean the female bathroom at the new pub. We have Martini Club at 6pm on Thursdays. There's nothing more frightening than to have a bunch of pissed off women complaining about no hand lotion or toilet paper. I bought some three-ply toilet paper. It's quite soft on the arse I must say. That should keep 'em happy.

Hope all is well on your end. Life's been a little crazy around here for me. The new pub is coming along well. I still haven't had a decent nights sleep in two months but, there is a little light at the end of the tunnel now....I think. Bill and I are playing there on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. We will continue to travel out of town most Saturdays especially since Ethan Hanson is keeping the stage busy and the folks entertained at our new Pub (on Saturday's that is).......Coming soon on Sundays we will have traditional Irish music from 5 to 6pm by Celtic Museum followed by a pub quiz.....more to follow on that.......
Every Thursday starting at 6pm Kerstin is hosting our Martini Club.......We're two weeks in and it feels like it will be a great success.......specialty martinis each week......food provided......mostly women....and one or two wankers who think they're James Bond.....what can you do?

Hello boys and girls.......
It's been a while I know. For those of you who may have been in my company recently and commented on my noassatall look well, it's because I have been working it off....for a change. Bill and I have been playing at a place called Wheeler's every Friday night for the last five years or so. About a month ago, James and Chester Wheeler gave me an opportunity to buy it. It felt like the right thing to do so I decided to throw my life away as I know it and try this bar business thing. So far it has thouroughly kicked my arse!
We have worked hard over the past few weeks and we are well on our way to making this little place an Irish pub. Check out the link to the pub on our web site or just go directly there at www.paddygibneypub.com
It's an exciting time. It's also a scary time.....for all the obvious reasons as well as some things I would never have thought of.........ABC Laws, downpayments for this and that, taxes, the health board, etc.....everyone's got their hands out it seems. It's a pain in the left testicle but, we'll soldier on regardless and hope for the best. I'm grateful and humbled for all the wonderful messages of love and support. I'm grateful for the many friends who have helped me directly with this project, painting and cleaning etc......you know who you are.
We opened last Friday and Saturday to test the water.......this week we will open tonight (Thursday) through Saturday and then we will open every day starting next Wednesday......Doors open at 4pm.....come by and/or check the pictures out online and let me know what you think......
For the time being Bill and I will continue to play our regular gig schedule........we haven't figured out all the details yet but we will probably end up playing in the new pub more than just on Fridays.....We'll let you know......for now, we're at Huske on Tuesdays, Skip's on Thursdays and what's now called Paddy's (who's that wanker?) on Fridays........we'll probably continue to travel on Saturdays. *******This Saturday we're back in Raleigh at Tir na nOg*******.......Next Saturday is of course St. Patrick's Day and we will be playing at my new place........we open at Noon.

Hello boys and girls.......
Billy and I will be playing up at Tir na nOg in Raleigh this Saturday (Jan 20th).......always a good laugh......we'll be back in Wilmington the following Saturday (Jan 27th)........regular shows remain the same.....
Well, we're halfway through January already. The audience is getting younger and we are hanging on for dear life. Tighten the belt, bellies in, comb over the hair (well Bill had enough and removed all his....I'm too white for that), bannana down the pants etc......all for you, our beloved audience.
We said goodbye to many friends this week as they left for duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. God Bless you all. I wish I could close my eyes, open them again and see you back home tomorrow. I pray for that day......may you all make it home safe and sound. There are no words to express our gratitude for what you do for so many both here and around the world. We'll see you along the road.
