Paddy and Bill Gigs…..info and shite

Hello there,
It’s a lovely Wednesday evening in North Carolina. I got to work on the back side of the Guinness belly a little today which is unusual for me lately…. (working out that is). Working (with pint) in (hand) has been the rule of law as of late. Anyway, great turn out in Raleigh on Saturday night. We’ll be in Wilmington this Saturday at Hell’s Kitchen. The gigs at the new Pub are going remarkably well desipte the fact that the same two wankers are playing the same songs three times a week. Ethan’s gigs continue to grow on Saturday nights. We’re getting ready to do something for Sundays along the lines of drink specials, Irish Music and a pub quiz……..check out the sites for the latest shite etc www.paddygibney.com and www.paddygibneypub.com
I would like to share a rather special moment with you from Tuesday’s show at Paddy’s. A young man sitting at the bar towards the end of the night was deep in conversation with his rather heavy set friend when all of a sudden he starting puking. Right there on the bar! His friend saw me moving towards them so he decided to grab an ashtray for his pal to empty himself into. The ashtray filled up fairly quickly so the lad called for an empty pitcher. I couldn’t believe it. Our trusty security man Shane ‘helped’ the lad out the door before I had a chance to stick my toe up his arse. The sick lad’s helpful friend turned to me and said, ” We just broke up so he’s a little drunk.” I felt like a deer in the headlights, like a man in the city by the bay, like the bikers in the bar in the movie A Bronx Tale when Sonny locked them in the bar…..maybe you had to be there. It was a special moment.
Hey, it’s Thursday night. Martini night at our place starting at 6pm. We’ll have a nice spread of food laid on. Bill and myself will be playing later on……..that’s about it mes amies. God Bless, take care, see you along the road.

It’s a lovely morning…..1 pm….early for me. I’ve been crawling home at 5 AM every morning recently. I’m getting the hang of the bar business though……….. It’s all about buying alcohol and then selling it.
Sounds complicated but it’s simple enough. Keep the girls bathroom clean. Keep the seat in the men’s bathroom wiped off in case the girls decide to take that over too. Soft toilet rolls, inspirational messages
on the walls, panty disposal, hand lotion (multipurpose), confessional booth, silly songs, a patient and sympathetic ear for all the wankers who say to you, “If this was my bar I’d…….” And so on. I will compose
a manual for prospective bar owners one of these days. It will be entitled “The Women’s Bathroom.” Anyway, enough silliness for now……..
Myself and Mr. Bill will be playing in Raleigh this Saturday at Tir na nOg. Great venue for us. The rest of our gigs……Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, take place at that fine new establishment

Thursdays at 6pm is when our Martini night begins. I’ll be playing a few tunes while Martinis and the like are being guzzled (by the girls mostly)…..sounds posh and sophisticated but don’t be fooled, it’s an Irish
Pub afterall. The girls arrive in business suits for “just one martini” and leave at 2 AM in nothing but one of our Pub shirts. It’s a wonderful thing to watch unfold. We lay on some food for the brethren so drop by if
you feel you can talk like you have a hot potato in your mouth.
Even though Bill and I are on the road most Saturdays, Ethan Hanson plays every Saturday night at my place here in Fayetteville. As Paddy’s has become more popular, more and more people are getting to see
just how good this young musician is. Catch him while you can. This lad will probably be moving on to bigger and better things within the next few years…..

Paddy & Bill………Gigs and Info

Hello boys and girls,
The new pub has been going very well but kicking my arse nonetheless. Check out the progress at www.paddygibneypub.com Myself and Bill have been playing there every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. We
still travel out of town on Saturdays……this weekend we’ll be back at Tommy Condon’s in Charleston, SC. (We play both Friday and Saturday night). Always a good laugh down there. Danny Nieves will be
stepping in for us at my place this Friday while we’re on the road. Ethan Hanson plays on Saturday night …….anyway, like my brain, this email is all over the place…..
I hope this finds you lads and lassies doing well. Thanks for being on the list and reading silly emails from me about pubs and various shite.
I’m off now to clean the female bathroom at the new pub. We have Martini Club at 6pm on Thursdays. There’s nothing more frightening than to have a bunch of pissed off women complaining about no hand
lotion or toilet paper. I bought some three-ply toilet paper. It’s quite soft on the arse I must say. That should keep ‘em happy.
